The Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, day to day management, communication and coordination of large scale projects and programs. The Program Manager is responsible for all activities across multiple teams, internal and external and is expected to manage to the business objectives set by the client as well as all processes that govern the program teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations for large scale program teams including external vendors and partner organizations
  • Coordinate complex project plans, identifying and capturing dependencies and deliverables, tracking teams against the plan
  • Host regular meetings to gather and communicate status, plan changes
  • Manage concise definition of scope across the entire program
  • Define and lead communication activities to create transparent reporting and escalation structures
  • Define and adjust processes to effectively integrate diverse teams ranging from no process infrastructure to established and mature PMOs
  • Create and maintain documentation relevant to the management of the program and associated projects
  • Understand primary business objectives, articulating and implementing associated metrics and measurement and reporting processes
  • Identifying and gathering input from stakeholders to define and clarify requirements
  • Work with the client and Account Management teams on planning against a roadmap,
  • Work with Project Management to define an actionable plan to achieve the desired business results
  • Travel to client and partner sites to conduct program management responsibilities
  • Accountable to client and Empathy Lab management for the successful planning, tracking and delivery of the entire program

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 6+ years experience managing programs and large scale projects o Experience with web development, eCommerce, IP broadband or IT solutions strongly preferred
  • 4+ years experience in senior client facing role at an agency or similar client services environment
  • 2+ years experience managing direct reports and sizable organizations
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in a wide range of project and program management processes
  • Proven track record of managing diverse projects and teams effectively achieving project goals and deadlines
  • Proven ability to react positively and recover problematic situations
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of implementing measurable processes
  • Experience communicating and fostering relationships with VP and C-level clients
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge with Visio
