Empathy Lab has deep expertise in creating broadband video, ecommerce, and community-driven experiences and is known for its innovative primary research activities designed to provide deep insights into the hearts and minds of the target end-user. We are a leader in the Media and Entertainment space, providing digital strategy and services to some companies like Sony, Verizon, Rogers Communications, Liberty Global, WWE, PBS, Cogeco, and many others.

We are currently seeking an Media and Entertainment Sales Director to join our team of professionals.

Our Ideal candidate will have a consultative sales background with previous work experience selling into cable companies, television networks, movie studios, and/or publishing companies.

As an Media and Entertainment Sales Director you will:

  • Be a visible leader in the Media and Entertainment space
  • Lead and facilitate Media and Entertainment driven business development activities (inbound/outbound)
  • Facilitate strategic promotion of our solutions offerings specifically in the Media and Entertainment arena
  • Work closely with assigned project teams across account portfolio to shape emerging business opportunities
  • Overall management of relationship health across key client stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with key functional leadership
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities

Role Specific Competencies:

  • C-Level Sales experience in the Media and Entertainment industry
  • Identify revenue generating accounts through driving effective selling and marketing strategies
  • Maintain a high level of weekly activity consisting of cold calling, appointments
  • Work with Sr. Management and others within the organization to develop and maintain sales presentations
  • Candidate must demonstrate and articulate past success stories in career
  • Create, document, and track action plans and solution strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a consultative sales to top Media and Entertainment companies
  • Proven track record of success
  • Extremely strong strategic negotiating experience with a track record of exceeding initial expectations while strengthening customer relationships
  • A competitive personality that can make a favorable, first impression on middle management and C-level leadership
  • Possess a network of contacts who can provide insight that leads to identifying and closing new business with new clients
  • Must have exceptional and effective communication skills (oral and written) with an entrepreneurial approach that builds and nurtures strong and lasting relationships to maximize financial success
